Santa Rosa Community Health names new COO and CFO

Returning executives position health center for future

SANTA ROSA, September 12, 2022 – Santa Rosa Community Health (SRCH), Sonoma County’s largest federally qualified health center, is pleased to announce Yudith Correa, RN, MSN as the new Chief Operating Officer and Paul Wood, MBA as the new Chief Financial Officer.

“We are extremely fortunate to have Yudith and Paul join our leadership team in the COO and CFO positions,” said Gaby Bernal Leroi, CEO of Santa Rosa Community Health.

“My loved ones and I have been served by SRCH, and I know how deep the commitment is to provide the highest quality care to all who enter our doors,” said Correa, who will fill the COO role vacated when Bernal Leroi took the helm as CEO in July. “I look forward to partnering with the patients, staff, and community members of SRCH on the journey to advance health equity at this critical time in our world.”

Yudith Correa is returning to SRCH from Ole Health in Napa where she worked as director of nursing for the health center that covers Napa and Solano counties. She began her career at SRCH in 2011 and served as associate director of nursing from 2018-2020. Correa’s interest in health and health equity started early. She served as a youth volunteer and board member from 2002-2005 for SRCH ’s then Southwest Community Health Center while she was a student in Elsie Allen High School.

Paul Wood is rejoining SRCH from Sonoma County’s Department of Health Services where he served as CFO, leading all accounting, revenue/billing, budget, and fiscal operations for the $228M agency. Wood has grown his career in finance with positions at Cross Check, JDSU, AAA Insurance, Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation, and then at SRCH as Budget and Finance Manager from 2019-2021, creating and managing budgets, and partnering with the CFO and COO on analytics and strategic planning.

“I am very excited to join SRCH. It’s a great team and environment in which to contribute,” shared Wood. “As CFO, I’m especially looking forward to providing the financial stewardship that will help the organization be sustainable so we can provide health care for generations to come.”

“Paul and Yudith both bring an exceptional skillset and deep knowledge of SRCH that will help us continue to deliver on our mission today and well into the future,” noted CEO Bernal Leroi. “We are thrilled to welcome them both back to the SRCH family.”

Correa and Wood will begin their new positions as COO and CFO respectively on September 16
