Announcing our Next CEO Gaby Bernal Leroi

Santa Rosa Community Health promotes Bernal Leroi as the next CEO

SRCH’s Chief Operating Officer to succeed Fuchs in July

We are thrilled to announce that our current COO, Ms. Gabriela Bernal Leroi, has been selected to become Santa Rosa Community Health’s next CEO, taking the reins in July from Naomi Fuchs, who is retiring after 22 years of service.

“We are extremely fortunate to have Ms. Bernal Leroi step into the CEO position,” said Anita Maldonado, chair of the SRCH Board of Directors CEO Search Committee and CEO of Social Advocates for Youth.

“Gaby is a proven and skilled leader with impressive experience in strategy and operations. SRCH has navigated several traumatic events in the last five years and emerged stronger than ever in good part because of her leadership, creativity, and dedication to our mission,” Maldonado added.

Naomi Fuchs also expressed her highest confidence in Gaby’s exceptional accomplishments, abilities, and credentials.

“Gaby will be an outstanding leader for SRCH bringing years of experience, deep talent, and a vision for the future,” Fuchs said. “At the same time, the most important gifts she will bring as CEO are her love and commitment to the organization and staff combined with an unwavering belief in our mission.”

I am honored to have been chosen to lead this amazing organization to which I am so deeply committed. As the daughter of Mexican parents who moved to the United States when I was six years old, I understand first-hand many of the unique challenges our patients face.

— Gaby Bernal Leroi

Gaby joined SRCH in 2009 as the site director for our then new Vista Campus, where she was responsible for all financial and operational performance of SRCH’s largest campus which delivered over 100,000 patient visits annually. When the campus was destroyed in the 2017 Tubbs fire, she opened and directed operations of two temporary clinics while also overseeing the reconstruction of Vista which reopened in 2019. Gaby became COO in 2018 and, since then, has led the successful operations of SRCH’s eight campuses that serve more than 40,000 patients every year. She earned a Master of Social Work from San Francisco State University and a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas. “We are certain that Gaby will make great things happen for SRCH in this next chapter of our 25-year history,” concluded Maldonado.

Please join us in welcoming Gaby who will start as our next CEO on July 1!
