Epic: What to Expect
We’re working to improve your patient experience!
We strive to provide excellent care to every patient. Our new system, Epic, will positively impact both our patients and our care teams. MyChart is the new app you will use to access your health information, which will be safely stored in Epic.
This improvement will mean changes for all of us.
It takes time to learn and use new technology. This will be true for SRCH, as we all begin using the new Epic tools. This includes the MyChart patient portal, which features care team messaging, appointment requests, and more. As you learn these new features, your care teams will also be getting used to new tools and processes.
There may be slight delays, but your care is our priority.
During this transition, patient safety and well-being remain our top priority. Your care team will continue to have full access to your health information during this change. As we get closer to June 20, you may notice changes in our campus hours.
We know that during the first weeks of using this system, there may be some slight delays. Your care team will need time to adjust. If there are any delays, your care team will communicate them to you as soon as possible. Please arrive 15 minutes early to your appointments so we can properly register you in the new system.
