GETTING TESTED AT SRCH:

Who can be tested at SRCH?

If you are a patient at Santa Rosa Community Health and you:

• Are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms such as: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, etc.
• Or have had close contact (within 6 feet for a total of 15 minutes or more) with someone who tested positive for COVID-19

If I am not a patient, can I still get tested?

If you are not an SRCH patient, you can get testing through Sonoma County. Learn how here.
If you have Medi-Cal, Medicare, or are uninsured and want to become an SRCH patient, call 707-303-3600 and we’ll get you set up.

Can everyone in my household be tested at the same appointment?

When you call to make an appointment, you will be screened. If there are others in your household that are experiencing symptoms or have had close contact with someone that tested positive for COVID-19, they will need to make an appointment. At this time, we are not testing patients unless they have an appointment.

What do my results mean?

• If you test positive, know what protective steps to take to prevent others from getting sick.
• If you test negative, you probably were not infected at the time your sample was collected. The test result only means that you did not have COVID-19 at the time of testing. Continue to take steps to protect yourself.

Will getting tested or care affect the Public Charge Rule?

Regardless of your immigration status, any patient who needs testing, treatment, and preventative care for COVID-19 can get it. As always, SRCH does not track or report our patients’ immigration status and is always here to care for you. It WILL NOT negatively affect anyone as part of a future Public Charge evaluation. If you or someone you know needs care, it is critical to get it.
