Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Care

We have designed a program to provide comprehensive medical, dental and behavioral health care for persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, including patients with complex medical and behavioral needs. All patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities are welcome to receive comprehensive medical, dental and specialty primary care at our Dutton Campus.

A welcoming environment for people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Our Dutton Campus is built with special features to support care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities:

• Low stimulation room
• Wide doorways for wheelchairs
• Special equipment for positioning and calming measures (e.g. weighted blankets, less invasive vitals equipment)
• Trained staff with many years of experience, including specialty care
• Sensory items throughout clinic
• Special equipment for complex patients (e.g. Hoyer lift, special exam tables)
